Westerville Rotary Amphitheater

Dedicated June 1, 2008

On June 1, 2008 over 7 years since its completion the Amphitheater at Alum Creek Park

was rededicated and named for the driving force behind its development, The Rotary Club of

Westerville.  The Amphitheater was the first project completed as part of the visionary PROS

2000 income tax initiative passed by the Westerville voters in the late 1990s.  The Rotary

Club of Westerville adopted the project in part to help celebrate its 40th year anniversary as

well as to further its mission of providing

"Service Above Self"

Many Rotarians were involved in this project as the club provided $100,000 in cash as well as

another $100,000+ through in-kind and vendor relationship discount support.  The total project

cost topped $450,000 with Rotary's final support equalling nearly 50% of the resources.
